In 1952, a new actor was introduced to movie audiences that would change the way we perceived the screen villain forever. His name was Lee Van Cleef. He was 27 years old, and the film was High Noon. His strength and power on- screen was undeniable. With 6' 2" and 200 pounds of imposing figure, Lee Van Cleef's sharp features and dark, penetrating eyes made him the perfect heavy. For the next four decades, filmgoers would come to know him as both hero and villain in film and in television--mostly in Westerns or Action Adventures. His start was as a supporting actor, but later, as a leading man, he shot to stardom and held position as one of the top ten biggest box office draws in Europe.
